DIANA CORELL YACHTS IS A MLC CERTIFIED YACHT CREW AGENCY

The Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) is an International Labour Organization (ILO) convention, number 186, established in 2006. The convention entered into force on 20 August 2013.

Maritime Labour Convention (MLC), according to International Labour Organization, provides a broad perspective to the seafarer’s rights and fortification at work.

The convention consists of five main points:

·       Title 1: Minimum requirements for seafarers to work on a ship

·       Title 2: Conditions of employment

·       Title 3: Accommodation, recreational facilities, food and catering

·       Title 4: Health protection, medical care, welfare and social security protection

·       Title 5: Compliance and enforcement

DIANA CORELL YACHTS:

·       Interviews each candidate who registers with our agency with the same care and attention, regardless of their age, gender, sexuality, race, religious beliefs or disability

·       Keep a confidential register of all seafarers placed by ourselves

·       Conduct confidential reference checks

·       Verify the validation and authenticity of all certification and licenses

·       Will not charge seafarers for our services

·       Will not operate a blacklist or the like to prevent or deter seafarers gaining employment

·       Will not recruit seafarers under 18

·       Is insured for any economic loss of the crew member due to their employment

 

In addition, France has a list of MLC compliant agencies. DIANA CORELL YACHTS is registered in Copenhagen, Denmark and thereby on the the Danish DMA list of MLC compliant agencies.

Complaints

DIANA CORELL YACHTS will examine and respond to all complaints made concerning its activities. We will advise the relevant authority of any unresolved complaints as and when they arise.
